ETH Not Showing on Polygon? Here Is Your Fix

⚠️ Anti-Loss Protocol

Your funds are almost certainly NOT lost. In 99% of cases, tokens are sitting on Polygon but your wallet is either on the wrong network or the token is not imported. Do NOT send more tokens or approve any contracts claiming to "recover" your funds — that is a scam. Follow the steps below in order.

Step 1: Switch Your Wallet to Polygon Network

The most common reason ETH or tokens do not show on Polygon is that your wallet is still on Ethereum Mainnet. Here is how to switch:

  1. Open MetaMask (or your wallet app).
  2. Click the network dropdown at the top.
  3. Select "Polygon" from the list. If it is not there, click "Add Network" and enter: RPC URL https://polygon-rpc.com, Chain ID 137, Symbol MATIC, Block Explorer https://polygonscan.com.
  4. Your balance should appear immediately once the network switches.

Step 2: Import the Token Contract Address

If you are on Polygon but still do not see your tokens, you may need to import the token contract manually:

  1. Go to Polygonscan.com and search for your token name.
  2. Copy the contract address from the token page.
  3. In MetaMask, click "Import tokens" at the bottom of the assets tab.
  4. Paste the contract address and click Add. Your token balance should now appear.

Step 3: Check If the Transaction Actually Completed

If you bridged tokens to Polygon but they are not showing even on the correct network with the token imported:

  1. Go to polygonscan.com and paste your wallet address.
  2. Check the ERC-20 token transfers tab to see if the tokens arrived at your address.
  3. If the tokens show on Polygonscan but not in your wallet, the wallet is just not displaying them. Import the contract address and they will appear.
  4. If the tokens do NOT show on Polygonscan, the bridge transaction may still be pending. Wait up to 30 minutes and check again.
